Seminar Description

A full one day seminar examining:

• Ethnic demographics
• Methods of research to learn about the cultures
• Business and social etiquette to make other cultures feel comfortable in doing business with a vendor  (i.e. understanding language barriers, how colors, certain clothing, an approach to time and certain foods may be offensive to certain cultures.)
• Cultural nuances of several ethnic and religious wedding traditions.
• An interactive review of various interfaith and intercultural weddings by the participants.

Marriott Philadelphia Airport Hotel has set aside rooms for $109 single or double  for Saturday, April 20th, so ABC members can "fly-in" for this seminar.

AIRPORT ARRIVALS

The hotel is connected to the airport Terminal B US Airways via skywalk.

Please note the Information kiosk at the bottom of the escalator used to access baggage claim. Please pick up the red phone and dial #45 to request a Hotel Shuttle pick up. Be sure to stand in Zone #4 on the arrivals side of baggage claim for the shuttle. If Arriving in Terminal F, please note that after picking up your luggage ( please call us for a Shuttle pick up by dialing any white phone on the wall extension 2900) please wait for the Hotel Van directly outside in front of the baggage claim.

PARKING

Follow signs to Garage C, Level 2 for hotel guests. Vehicles over 6 ft can NOT fit into garage.

Please note that Oversized Vehicles cannnot park in Hotel Parking Garage. There is a  separate lot for Oversized Vehicles (six feet or taller) at a cost of $38.00 plus 20% tax per vehicle per 24 hour period. Park and Fly is Strictly Prohibited at this Property.

BY TRAIN

Depart Amtrak to Philadelphia (PHL), 30th St. Station.

Transfer to Septa, Airport Line to Terminals. Airport Line service runs seven days a week, between 5:00 a.m. and 12 midnight. (Fare $6.25 - 7.00).

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations more than 10 days before seminar may be transferred to another ABC seminar or refunded less a $25 administrative fee.  Cancellations/no-shows less than 10 days before the seminar cannot be refunded. If paying by check, check must be postmarked by early registration cutoff to be received prior to the seminar.  No-shows will be invoiced.
